The practice has been established by ex FSA and DFSA regulator Hari Bhambra

other strategic partners that have an international finance background
combined with strong regional connections.
As Praesidium
LLP has been established by Hari, one of the original team which created
the DIFC’s regulatory regime, the firm now seeks to provide relevant
experience to assist firms wishing to operate in the DIFC. Hari was also
the key developer of the DIFC’s Shari’a Systems Regulatory
model which is a regulatory structure emulated in many other jurisdictions

Hari has written several articles on Islamic Finance and was the author
of the DIFC Guide to Islamic Finance. She frequently speaks on the subject
of Islamic Finance all across the world. Her recent work in Islamic Finance
includes:

Advising Islamic Secular state on the policy and legal implications of
introducing Islamic Finance;
• Developing a policy paper for a second Islamic Secular state on
the political considerations of introducing Islamic Finance
• She is one of the few accredited training providers to offer and
deliver the SII IFQ examination both on behalf of Praesidium LLP and also
on behalf of the SII itself as one of its tutors.
• She was instrumental in developing the Mutual Recognition Model
(termed the ‘Green Highway’) to allow foreign Islamic products
into Malaysia.
